We at St. Andrew Encourage members to be involved! Involvement is a great way to serve God while making it possible to meet others in your church family.

Paul writes in Romans 12:5-6 "In Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us."

Ways to volunteer to serve at St. Andrew may include:

  • Greeting/welcoming others to church

  • Refreshment server - set out provided cookies and make coffee/juice to serve between services

  • Mug Ministry welcome first time visitors with a mug from St. Andrew on Sunday afternoons

  • Ushers - hand out bulletins, attendance, offering collection, ushering during communion

  • Communion servers - assist in holy communion

  • Altar Guild - set up communion by putting out bread and wine. Prepare baptismal font when baptisms occur

  • Lector - read the lesson of the day during the service

  • Newsletter mailings - various dates assist with Xeroxing, folding, cutting and mailing large mailings

  • Nursery help during our worship

  • Assist in teaching on Sunday mornings

  • Lead a small group for confirmation students on Wednesday evening

  • Enjoy the High school ministry on Sunday nights

  • Habitat for Humanity

  • Mission trips to Hurricane areas and El Salvador

  • Provide food for PADS homeless shelter

  • Work with the "tech team" on help run the sound system during worship services or events

Remember what Rick Warren writes in "The Purpose Driven Life": "The difference between being a church attender and a church member is commitment. Attenders are spectators from the sidelines; members get involved in the ministry.

Please call Pat 231-3787 with any questions as to how you can get involved at St. Andrew. Many volunteer opportunities await you!
