Building Update

February 29, 2008

Building Permit BLDD (architects) has resubmittedrevised drawings based on comments made by the City of West Chicago.  A meeting was held on February 28 with the City to discuss the status of the permit and any outstanding items.  While we are very close, there are still a few items left to address such as fire department access and a DuPage County Storm Water Management Permit.  We expect these items to be resolved quickly.

Septic System Good news! The design drawings were completed in Janurary and we applied for our permit. Final paperwork is being filed and it looks like we shoulod receive our permit shortly.

Bid Process for General Contractor BLDD will send out the request for proposals (RFP) as soon as we complete the last few items for the City. We can not go out for bids until all items are addressed with the City. This is because costly change orders could occur if we go out to bid using unapproved plans. Once we get the City's approval we anticipate the bid process to take 3 to 4 weeks.

Furnishings/Interiors The interior team is reviewing the plans room by room to develop a list of furnishings (i.e. desks, chairs, etc.) that will be needed to equip the rooms. The team has made good progress in coming up with a coordinated interior design for the total building that includes the kitchen, new buildingand sanctuary.
